If an entry that came through your invite link goes on to win The Final, you win a two-night stay for two — whether or not you entered yourself.
Entrants get their invite link when their entry is approved; everyone else gets theirs as soon as they sign up. Only the one person who invited the America winner wins the second prize, and you cannot invite yourself — full terms on the rules page.

One nationwide leaderboard, five cuts. Every couple of weeks the field narrows — top 50, top 20, top 10, top 5 — until two stories go head to head for the title. Votes reset at every cut, so a big lead never carries over.
One free vote a day
Every voter gets one free vote per story, every 24 hours. Come back tomorrow and vote again.
Bonus votes if you want them
