Our story
My husband and I met at Texas state university and he’s my best friend and provider for our little family. I’m a self-published deaf author who wrote 3 children’s books from my deaf dog Rhett’s perspective, from shelter dog to being adopted by me, who is also deaf 😊 With a deaf illustrator, we give deaf children representation and teach hearing children about deafness in a fun way! We started something new by giving back to the community and we’re just finished our 3rd fundraiser to gives back to nonprofits that serve/support Deaf children. We raise funds for them to receive free copies of our children’s books so they don’t have to find funds to purchase copies as many do not have much to work with. If we’re chosen, we will give back $5,000 worth of books to the next nonprofit who serves kids who are deaf/hard of hearing!
What the weekend would mean to us
We are a one income family and my girls (3 and 1) would LOVE to spend time on your ranch as a family. This will allow us to disconnect with the world and be present with the beauty around us as a family.
