Our story

My husband and I met at Texas State University, and he’s my best friend and provider for our little family. I’m a self-published deaf author of 3 children’s books told from the perspective of my deaf dog, Rhett—from shelter dog to being adopted by me who’s also deaf just like him :) We have done 3 successful fundraisers to give back to different nonprofits that focus on deaf/hard of hearing kids to give them FREE copies of our children’s books so they don’t have to find finding to purchase. Instead of doing a 4th one we would give $5,000 worth of books to the next nonprofit! We helped Deaf Santa give presents to each child that visited him, Texas Hands and Voices and Asher’s Gift Box. We hope to impact the next nonprofit with $5,000 worth of books 🤟🏼

What the weekend would mean to us

My husband and I, along with our two girls (ages 3 and 1), would be so incredibly thankful for the opportunity to spend time together as a family on your ranch and make special memories while our girls are growing up so fast. I’d also love to bring a few family members along, as they continue to help me SO much in making my children’s books possible. Being able to share this experience with them would mean so much to our family. This would give us the chance to disconnect from the busy world, slow down, and truly be present with one another while taking in the beauty of your ranch!
