Every approved story in America competes on a single board. Every two weeks or so the field is cut — to the top 50, then 20, then 10, then 5, then a final two who go head to head for a week. Votes reset at every cut, so a big lead never carries over and a late surge is always possible.

Vote every day
Everyone you know can vote for you free, once every 24 hours. Daily voters are what carry a story through the cuts.
Post every day
Any public Instagram or Facebook post that tags @milkandhoneyranch and uses your hashtag is 3 more votes — from your account or anyone else's, once a day each.
Bring new people
Every new person who joins through your link and casts their first vote is 2 more — and from then on they can vote for you daily.
Ten people doing all three is 60 votes a day. The stories that make the cuts aren’t the ones with the most followers — they’re the ones whose people show up daily.

Votes reset at every cut
A lead never carries over. When a round closes, everyone who made the cut starts the next one on zero. Four thousand votes in the open field buys you nothing in the Top 50 except a place in it.
One free vote a day, per story
Every voter gets one free vote for a story every 24 hours. You can back as many stories as you like, and you can come back tomorrow and do it again.
Entries stay open until November 1
The whole first round is also the entry window. Enter late and you join the open field with votes already flying — a story that enters in week four has beaten the cut before. Once the Top 50 is named, entries close for the season.
Ties, and who makes the cut
Ranking is decided by vote total, and an exact tie is broken by whoever entered first. The cut line is shown on the standings, so you always know how far off the pace you are.
Inviting other entrants helps you
If an entry that came through your invite link goes on to win The Final, you win a two-night stay for two — whether or not you entered yourself. If you entered, your invite link is on your own page as soon as your entry is approved — and it keeps working even if you go out at the first cut. If you didn’t enter, it’s on your account from the moment you sign up.
One invite, one entry
An entry is credited to whoever’s link they actually entered through — another entrant’s approved entry, or any account holder. You cannot invite yourself, and the credit never moves afterwards.
Posting earns votes
A public Instagram or Facebook post that tags @milkandhoneyranch and includes a story’s hashtag earns that story 3 votes — whoever posts it. One award per account per story per day, verified automatically. Posts the sponsor finds automated or misleading are voided.
The Wildcard save
At every cut, the ranch brings back one eliminated story — chosen by the ranch from that round’s posts. Best content, not biggest following. It’s announced with the cut results, and the ranch’s pick is final.
You don’t have to win to win.
Every account gets an invite link — you don’t have to enter to have one. Share it, and the stories that enter through it aren’t just rivals: they’re your second shot at a weekend here.
