Our story
Nine years ago, I was a single mom with a six‑month‑old baby girl, searching for a fresh start in a new city. I needed a new beginning in every sense — a new career, a new environment, and a chance to rebuild our lives. After finishing a job interview in Houston, I was driving home when some close friends invited me out for drinks at a local movie theater and grill. I arrived early, grabbed a drink, and waited for everyone to show up. That’s when my now‑husband walked over and asked if he could sit with me. Three months later, I landed the job in Houston. He proposed soon after, and we were married not long after that — six months from meeting to marriage. Everyone thought we were crazy, but I felt a deep calmness and clarity from God. I knew it was right. He showed up for me at one of the lowest points in my life and became the father figure my daughter needed and deserved. Trusting God’s plan has carried us through every trial and every blessing. We’ve faced challenges like anyone else, but faith has always steadied us and guided our steps.
What the weekend would mean to us
This Christian family vacation spot means so much to us. It’s the perfect escape from the city — a place where our girls can run free, explore, and simply be kids. Thank you for this opportunity. And thank you for all your funny Instagram content!
