Our story
Met at work, both nurses whose passion is serving others. Married 11/2020 during Covid so no honeymoon. Got covid from work 12/2020. January 2021 I lost my sight and was diagnosed with a pseudo brain tumor. Medication managed symptoms but never cured it. July 2023 diagnosed with thyroid cancer and first surgery. July 2024 gallbladder attack discovered kidney cancer. Third surgery August 2024 to remove right kidney. April 2026 Lupus diagnosis lead to July 2026 brain surgery to save vision and hearing. Our strength comes from above because if it was from anything else I would have run out long ago. We have 2 kids that are not only learning perseverance but most importantly the value of faith, hope and love.
What the weekend would mean to us
A weekend at the ranch would mean a chance of a lifetime. To be surrounded by Gods creation through mankind. To provide entertainment for the kids and rest at the same time. Peace during so many storms and restoration to the soul. My cup is refilled by Jesus and nature but my husband is not an outdoorsman. He is refilled when I am made strong and at peace. We have yet to be able to plan a weekend at the ranch but tried many times because our schedules are constantly changing and the ranch requires advanced notice for a family of 4. Whatever the outcome we will continue to work towards visiting and appreciate your story and your generosity to others!
