Our story

At the age of 18 I lost my hearing unexpectedly. I’ve been wearing hearing aids for 22 years now I’m a Mom to a beautiful & amazing 11-year-old daughter. She is very patient with me with my hearing struggles. Sometimes she has to be my interpreter as hearing aids are not always a complete fix for a person that has profound hearing loss & some days she has to repeat what she said probably more than she would like. I am a Christian & we turn lemons into lemonade around here. I put my faith & family above all bc I believe they are God’s greatest gift . This past year has been a bit hard. Both of my daughter’s grandmothers have been facing health struggles. My own mom with heart issues & her other grandmother has been battling cancer. I would love to win this trip for me & my daughter because she is so special to me & her spirit uplifts everyone in this family, but especially both of her grandmas. Every week we are at my mom’s house, taking care of her & I think it’s quite a blessing that God allows us to be there for them & that we are all so close.

What the weekend would mean to us

My daughter & I are both huge animal & farm lovers. We’ve always wished we could have a family farm of our own all the farm animals, especially cows and baby goats lol. For now we volunteer what little spare time we do have to helping rescue and foster mainly cats, but sometimes doggies too. I always have said that animals are God’s greatest gift to us. A little time in nature can heal so much. A weekend at the ranch would be a time for us to unwind & focus on God’s blessings. My daughter and I have not been on a vacation together in a very long time. I would love to give her something like this that would be so life changing & forever grateful. We love the ranch & the owners are incredible ppl. I hope whoever wins this even if it’s not us, is incredibly blessed by it. Reconnect with God in nature.. no better place to do it!
