Our story

We met a few years ago on a dating app. After I took her out a few times, met her family and 2 kids, she still thought we were just friends. It wasn’t until a year or so later and I proposed that she realized I actually liked her.

What the weekend would mean to us

My wife doesn’t know I did this because she’d probably say I was crazy and we weren’t deserving of the trip. She be half right. I don’t but she definitely does. To make a long story fit in this box the circumstances my wife has dealt with during the past few years would be enough to drive most people crazy. For her though, she turned her focus to her relationship with God and really used her experiences and struggles to connect with her patients and share the gospel with everyone. Something that I know I and I think most people would have had a much more difficult time doing. The ups and downs have all just been things she has added to her story of Gods grace and love in her life. Because of all the financial burdens of the 2 moves and 2 custody cases, we were unable to go through with the honeymoon we had planned or many other smaller trips we had tried to go on in place of it. This getaway would mean the world to my wife.
