Navigating a Grief Journey and Finding the Woman Lost

Our story

I've been blessed to have a career in Fitness helping thousands of individuals find themselves, over the last 20+ years. Two years ago, I lost the most amazing human in my life, my Mama. I was fortunate enough to be able to put my career on pause, and move in to be her caregiver. She had vascular dementia, lost all mobility and alot of cognitive function. But she never lost her spark. We made the last 6 months of her life, as comfortable and peaceful as possible. She was able to go home to The Lord, in her home with her family. She was my best friend, the holder of all my secrets, the sassiest silly lady, and the most compassionate person I know. When she died, a huge part of me did too. I lost my anchor in life. Sometimes I forget for a split second that she's gone, and I reach to call her and tell her about something that happened in my day. Only to quickly remember that I cannot. I know she would want me to find JOY in my life. So to live life with more purpose, I'm on a journey for JOY, and to find the woman I lost, when my best friend died.

What the weekend would mean to us

A weekend at the ranch would absolutely mean the world. My soul would definitely be refreshed and I feel like I could really make Mom proud, by being happy again. Grief is a complicated journey, but I know she wants to see me find ME again.
