No One "out of state" need apply

Our story

16 years ago we were both single and doing online dating. My profile said no one out of state please. That didn't stop Richard. His 1st email to me was a book! He told me his whole life story. I replied "send more pics." LOL. He sent a pic of him straddling an alligator. Macho man I thought. We were pen pals via email for 3 months before "scheduling" a call to talk over the phone. He made it an appointment one week out! Unbelieveble, I thought...who does that? Then he called and I didn't answer! Ha ha....I chickened out. Finally another month later, we talked and I thought "Oh no, he's an old boring insurance guy." but still...something kept me hanging on. We finally met Dec. 10th 2010 and it was love at 1st sight. He drove to Colorado Springs from Albuquerque to meet me. I had invited a best friend as a buffer -- boy did I regret that!! He stayed an extra day and came back the following weekend. From there it was a whirlwind romance and we married Feb 2012! I moved to Albuquerque where we have lived ever since as best friends! We even adopted a preteen girl from the foster care system after raising 4 boys between the two of us!

What the weekend would mean to us

I love animals! So a weekend at the ranch means I am in my glory loving on animals and enjoying water and outdoors! Also we run three businesses, so to get away for relaxation means the world to us!
